1. About This Policy
1.1 WHO WE ARE
This Privacy Policy is issued by Crowdy Pte. Ltd. (UEN: 202617310Z), a Singapore company operating the Crowdy Platform (Crowdy Bot on Telegram and crowdy.world).
1.2 PURPOSE
This policy explains how Crowdy collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA).
1.3 LEGAL FRAMEWORK
This Privacy Policy is drafted in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore (PDPA) and its subsidiary legislation. Crowdy is committed to upholding the data protection rights of all individuals whose personal data it processes.
1.4 ACCEPTANCE
By registering on the Platform, submitting a Booking Request, or using any feature of the Crowdy Bot or website, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not consent, please do not use the Platform.
2. DEFINITIONS
"Personal Data" means data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which Crowdy has or is likely to have access. This definition has the same meaning as in the PDPA.
"Processing" means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data, including collection, recording, storage, use, disclosure, transmission, or deletion.
"Crowdee" means an individual who has registered on the Platform to participate in Gigs.
"Organiser" means an individual or entity that has engaged Crowdy's services to recruit Crowdees to attend their event.
3. DATA WE COLLECT & WHY
Crowdy collects the following categories of personal data:
3.1 WEBSITE VISITOR DATA
When you visit crowdy.world, we may collect standard web analytics data including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. This data is used in aggregate form to improve the website and Platform. We do not use cookies for advertising purposes. Our cookie usage is limited to essential and analytics cookies only.
3.2 DATA YOU PROVIDE VOLUNTARILY
When you contact Crowdy via the /support command or by email, we retain records of your communications for the purpose of resolving your enquiry and improving our support processes.
4. LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING
Under the PDPA, Crowdy may collect, use, and disclose personal data where the individual has given consent, or where collection is necessary for a purpose that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances. The legal bases on which Crowdy processes personal data are:
Consent: you have given explicit consent to the collection of your personal data by registering on the Platform and accepting these terms. Specific consent is obtained for video and GPS location data via the Crowdee Terms and Conditions. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to the consequences described in Section 9.
Contractual necessity: processing of your identity, contact, and financial data is necessary for Crowdy to fulfil its obligations to you under the Crowdee Terms and Conditions or the Organiser Service Agreement.
Legitimate interests: retention of disciplinary data after account deletion serves Crowdy's legitimate interest in maintaining platform integrity and preventing ban evasion, which also protects the interests of Organisers and other Crowdees.
Legal compliance: retention of Organiser financial records for 5 years serves Crowdy's obligations under Singapore tax law and IRAS record-keeping requirements.
5. how we use your data
We use personal data only for the purposes for which it was collected, including:

Processing Gig Fee payments;

6. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA
Crowdy does not sell or rent personal data. We disclose data only where necessary:

To internal operations (e.g., admin review of Check-In videos);

Crowdee identity and personal data are never disclosed to Organisers. Organisers receive only a headcount and Cover Story.
7. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
Crowdy uses reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. Data is stored securely and access is limited to authorised personnel only.
8. RETENTION & DELETION
8.1 RETENTION PERIODS
Crowdy does not retain personal data longer than is necessary. Retention periods for each data category are as set out in the table in Section 3. Where retention is required for legal purposes (such as financial records for tax compliance), data is retained for the minimum period required by law.
8.2 ACCOUNT DELETION
Crowdees may delete their account at any time by submitting the /deleteaccount command via the Crowdy Bot.
9. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE PDPA
You have the right to:

The Crowdy website (crowdy.world) uses a limited number of cookies to ensure the website functions correctly and to understand how visitors use the site. We use:

Analytics cookies: used in aggregate, anonymised form to understand website traffic and improve the user experience. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics cookies.

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Crowdy reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in our data practices, legal obligations, or Platform features. Material changes will be notified via the Crowdy Bot or email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
13. DATA PROTECTION OFFICER
Crowdy has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for overseeing compliance with this Privacy Policy and the PDPA. The DPO is the primary point of contact for all personal data enquiries, access requests, correction requests, withdrawal of consent, and data breach notifications.
